Miles 4 money: Charity Tractor Run
Last year, Jason Shaw a local farmer and close family friend of Alison’s - tragically suffered a heart attack whilst driving a tractor. The North West Air Ambulance were instrumental in reaching him. Although Jason sadly passed away, his legacy lives on!
Jason loved an adventure, so in his memory Harry Jason’s son, alongside Liam and James are going the extra mile to raise funds for a cause that means so much to them and to many others.
They’ll be travelling an extraordinary 150 miles a day! Covering the iconic route from John O’Groats to Land’s End… on vintage tractors!
In honour of his dad, Harry will be driving his late father’s 1973 Massey Ferguson 165. A tractor that has been in the family since the 70’s and is still used daily.
Agriculture remains one of the most dangerous industries in the UK. Yet one of the most relied on. If you’ve eaten today, you’ve relied on a farmer.
Sadly, many farming families will need the air ambulance at some point. This courageous journey is about helping ensure that this vital service can continue its life saving work.
We are incredibly proud that we can say Aconite Interiors have sponsored “Miles for Money”, providing funds for food and accommodation and suppling hats to keep the boys warm on their travels.
If you can, we’d be so grateful for your support, whether that means spreading the word or making a donation.
