Aconite Interiors - Bespoke & M2m
1. Agreement Overview
This contract is entered into between Aconite Interiors ("the Supplier") and the Client ("the Customer") for the design and production of bespoke soft furnishings and made to measure. By placing an order, the Customer agrees to the terms outlined below.
2. Deposit & Payment
a) A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins. This secures the Customer’s order in the workshop schedule and covers costs incurred for materials and production allocation.
b) The remaining 50% final balance is due upon completion of the order and must be paid in full before collection.
c) Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other agreed-upon methods.
3. Home Measuring Service, Measurements & Approval
Aconite Interiors offers a “Home Measuring Service.” A fee will apply for this service, which must be paid in full before the visit. This is a non-refundable fee.
b) At the home measuring appointment, one or two members of our team will visit your home to take measurements, provide advice, and discuss the best options. This service provides peace of mind that all measurements are correct before we start the job.
c) It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure all measurements provided independently are correct.
d) Any changes to measurements after production has started may result in additional costs.
e) Aconite Interiors is not liable for any errors due to incorrect measurements supplied by the Customer, though we will provide guidance to ensure accuracy before production begins.
f) The Customer is given a reasonable review period to confirm measurements before work commences.
4. Customer Supplied Fabric
a) If you are providing your own fabrics a small fee will be implemented to quality check and test the suitability of fabric provided. This is a non-refundable fee.
b) Upon completion of the job, if the fabric changes (i.e., shrinks), Aconite Interiors cannot be held responsible.
c) If sourcing your own fabrics, we can provide advice on the best compositions and types that will work best for your project.
5. Production & Lead Times
a) Lead times vary depending on the complexity of the order and current workshop capacity. Estimated completion dates will be provided upon order confirmation.
b) While every effort is made to meet estimated deadlines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Aconite Interiors will communicate any changes promptly.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
a) Due to the bespoke nature of the work, the 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers materials and production costs already incurred.
b) If an order is cancelled before production has started, Aconite Interiors may, at its discretion, refund a portion of the deposit if no costs have been incurred.
c) If an order is cancelled after production has started, the Customer remains liable for the full balance.
d) Bespoke and Made to Measure items are exempt from standard cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and are non-returnable unless found to be faulty due to workmanship errors.
7. Faulty Goods & Customer Rights
a) Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers have the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receipt.
b) After 30 days, Aconite Interiors will offer a repair or replacement within a reasonable timeframe. If the issue cannot be resolved, a partial or full refund may be provided at our discretion.
c) Normal wear and tear, misuse, or alterations by the Customer are not covered under this policy.
d) Any faults must be reported within 7 days of collection via email.
8. Collection
a) Customers may collect orders from our showroom/workshop by appointment.
b) Aconite Interiors is not responsible for any damage occurring during third-party transportation.
