How best to prepare for a Design Consultation at Aconite Interiors?
how to prepare for A Soft Furnishings and interior design consultation
Our easy guide
Coming in to see us but have no idea how to prepare?
Here are some of our best interior consultation tips (and a list of what to bring along to your design consultation).
Jot down some rough measurements
Even very very basic ones are fine - width and drop is a great start - this will give us any idea of the scale of the project and what will work best.
Take photos of your room/space
These can just be on your phone or iPad. It helps us see the lighting and what’s already in the room to work with. Don’t worry about mess, that is not what we are looking at (we won’t even notice).
Bring along inspiration if you have it
Pinterest, screenshots, fabric samples, paint colours, magazine cuttings, basically anything you’re drawn to.
TOP TIP: A pillow case or cushion cover is a common item customers bring with them.
Is there a timeline?
Identity any deadlines or dates that are out of the question. Do you have holidays coming up? People visiting? Building or decorating work being undertaken? Let us know.
And that’s it! It’s that simple :)
Whether you’re planning new curtains, blinds, cushions or upholstery, coming prepared helps us make the most of your consultation.
Bringing ideas and inspiration allows us to guide you towards the best fabrics, linings and practical solutions for your needs.
