Open Week Maker Line Up
Here at Aconite Interiors we are all about supporting and shopping small. About buying well made, high quality products.
Buying items you love and will treasure for years to come.
So it only felt right that part of our Open Day was going to centre around the local making community. We have curated a selection of Ribble Valley based creatives to showcase their beautiful work at Aconite Interiors for the duration of the Open Week.
We will have everything from woodturning to hand poured artisan candles.
Introducing our makers…
Bottle Wicks
Nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Bottle Wicks is a family-owned candle company, creating hand poured luxurious soy candles.
Bottle Wicks believe in using only the finest of ingredients, which is why their candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, high quality essential, and luxury fragrance oils.
Each candle is truly something special.
Helen Briggs
Helen’s passion for nature was the starting point for ‘Helen Briggs Design’ a creative business based in the beautiful forest of Bowland.
Helen captures the beauty of the British countryside with her original illustrations of birds and wildlife in a range of intricate prints. Her work has even been featured in Country Living Magazine!
Vicki Entwistle
Based in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Vicki is a former hair stylist who’s creativity from the salon has moved from behind the styling chair to behind the pottery wheel.
Working from her home studio (she even has her own kiln tucked away in the garden) with her not so little sidekick Benson the Golden Doodle (a much-loved “failed” foster dog).
She hand makes colourful, joy-filled ceramics.
Ron Higson
“Idle hands need to make useful objects!”
Ron is a retired doctor who’s swapped stethoscopes for sawdust. His wood turning projects reflect years of precision and patience. He creates beautiful wood turned pieces for friends and local charities.
It’s a ‘hobby’ that keeps him happy, creative and, as he jokes, “off the streets!”
We got the pleasure of hand selecting a range from his vast collection of wonderful wooden treasures. We are talking platters for cheese and wine evenings, keepsakes, garden and kitchen accessories to name a few.
