This take is a great way to dip your toe into pattern drenching. It’s also perfect for adding interest to those areas of your home that don’t get much light - and where you can’t possibly hang any more artwork… enter the ceiling.
Think hallways and stairs in terraced homes or Victorian semis, or even a downstairs bathroom in a new build.
Tips for Choosing Ceiling Wallpaper
Opt for a paste the wall wallpaper to make application much easier overhead.
Choose a pattern that isn’t too obviously directional - “top” and “bottom” don’t really apply on a ceiling, so a more forgiving design works best.
If you live in an older property, try to avoid check or very structured patterns. Like walls, ceilings aren’t always perfectly straight, and these designs can highlight any unevenness.
